On July 8, 2023, the child was heading to a summer celebration with her mother and six-year-old brother, Joseph, when they came to a crossing at Kings Cross Road in Halifax.
However, Hussain made a last-ditch effort to run the red light by accelerating by 20 mph over the speed limit as the lights changed and other vehicles slowed down.
