Missing teen from Utah found safe in Colorado, 500 miles away

15-year-old Alisa Petrov from South Jordan, who had been missing for six weeks—prompting the investigation of three men—walked into the Stetson Hills police station in Colorado Springs on Sunday night, identified herself, and was confirmed to be safe.

Alisa was in good health, but it has not yet been determined how she got to the station on her own—or if she had been held somewhere against her will during the time she was missing.

“Alisa’s parents have been notified of her location and are working with South Jordan Police to bring her home,” the police said.

Her parents, Nikolai and Olga, shared that they will be traveling to Colorado to get their daughter home.

“We are all really happy that Alisa is found and looking forward to seeing her!” Nikolai posted on the social media.

“Special thanks to the South Jordan Police Department who worked on weekends, and to the Salt Lake City FBI who helped them.

“Thank you to all of our friends for your help and support.”

According to an affidavit obtained by KSL TV, the teenager vanished on April 21, two days after she sent a final message to a 41-year-old man with whom she was having a series of s*xual conversations.

Alisa was chatting with three different men, who have since been charged with exchanging graphic and explicit messages with her.

Her messages with them were discovered on her secret iPad she kept hidden in her dresser.

Even though the missing 15-year-old was found safe and sound, the investigation into her disappearance is ongoing until authorities determine exactly what happened.

15-year-old Alisa Petrov who was missing for six weeks walked into Stetson Hills police station in Colorado Springs and was reported safe.

The teen went missing when she was dropped to school, but instead of entering the facility, she went to the train station — convincing a man at the gas station to drive her there.

She then got off the train in Provo, about 14 miles south of American Fork, and asked around for help getting a ticket to Las Vegas by bus, where she was planning to meet Matthew Nicholas Menard, 35, the Daily Mail reported.

Speaking of her daughter, Olga said, “We regularly check her phone and there was nothing suspicious. Everything seemed to be normal, just classmates, neighbors.

“We never thought she could be talking to strangers in this way… but she was sneaky and we didn’t know. I wish we figured this out sooner and could help her.”
