They demand punishment for the leak of the video of the cadet who died after failing to open his parachute.
The cadet died during a training session in Champotón, Campeche.
Campeche. – The father of one of the cadet’s classmates who died in a parachute accident demanded that authorities punish the person who leaked the video of the young man’s fall.
It was through his Facebook account that Mr. Fernando Sansores López asked for respect regarding the dissemination of the moment when the victim falls.
“Secretary of the Navy, I am the father of a cadet at the heroic Naval Military School. I repudiate, reject, and categorically condemn the leak and dissemination of such a painful video and demand that the Navy member who recorded and leaked said video be punished to the full extent of martial law, and that everything humanly possible be done to have it removed from social media,” wrote Sansores López.
According to national media, Emmanuel “N”, who was known as the “boy with steel wings”, died due to a failure in his parachute after jumping from a helicopter during a training in Champotón, Campeche.

Fernando pointed out that the people who leaked the video have no idea of the “pain that is felt.”
“We were supporting the parents who were there at that moment, watching with emotion, anguish, fear, with a series of mixed feelings, the first jump of their children, praying to God that they would arrive safely on land.
“They have no idea of the pain a father feels, hearing a mother’s heartbreaking scream when she doesn’t know who it is; they have no idea how heartbreaking it is to talk to my son and feel the pain of losing a friend,” he wrote.
A video circulating on social media shows the moment when up to eight cadets jumped from the helicopter; however, only Velázquez had problems opening his parachute.
Witnesses to the incident expressed their concern about what happened, which was evident in the clip that has caused a great impact on the internet.
The family of the deceased reported that the wake would be held in the municipality of Tenancingo, State of Mexico.
