Brazilian woman marries a rag doll made by her mother and has a baby with her “husband”

KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 — A woman in Brazil made headlines after marrying a homemade rag doll and now they have a baby together.

Meirivone Rocha Moraes, 37, said it was love at first sight when her mother introduced her to Marcelo, The Mirror reported.

To make things even stranger, Moraes and Marcelo even have a baby together.

Moraes said her mother made her the doll after hearing her complaints about being single and having no one to dance with.

After meeting Marcelo, Moraes had a passionate romance, and the couple decided to marry in a ceremony attended by about 250 guests.
Moraes said that life with Marcelo was wonderful, although she admits that her husband can be a little lazy.

The woman reportedly said it all started because she didn’t have a dance partner.

“I used to go to these dances, but I didn’t always find a partner. Then he came into my life and everything made sense,” she reportedly said.

Recalling her wedding day, Moraes said it was wonderful.

“He is the man I always wanted in my life. Married life with him is wonderful.”

“He doesn’t fight with me, he doesn’t argue, and he simply understands me. Marcelo is an excellent and faithful husband. He’s such a special man that all women envy him.” After the wedding, the couple spent their honeymoon in Rio de Janeiro.

The couple also welcomed their baby Marcelinho on May 21, an event that Moraes broadcast live to an audience of 200 people.

“It really bothers me when people say this is fake.”

“It makes me very angry. I am a woman of character. My father and mother taught me to be honest, to be a good person, and not to take advantage of anyone.”
